Sunrise/sunset upon the face. But is this to be day or night? The moon rises over the shoulder-hills, and the pentacle of fortune is eclipsed in it's orbit.
There's a creative change in focus between the two different sides of the face: in the shadow, the features are sharper, yet they fuzz in the light.
There's a confidence in that bitten-lip, and a purposeful calmness in the overall pose. It's a great picture, and it does not matter whether it has been composed, or is just taken on the spur of the moment, it's memorable.
